The Newcastle branch is seeking a mature, mechanically qualified person to fill the position of Service Technician based in our purpose built Newcastle depot. The Service Technician is responsible for the servicing & routine maintenance of our scissor & boom lift fleet. This role is primarily workshop based and to be considered you must be able to fulfil the following duties. • Pre hire inspections & maintenance of the EWP fleet • Perform engine servicing, electrical & hydraulic service & diagnostics • Parts ordering & stock control • Accurately record service detail & complete associated paperwork • Maintain the fleet in a ready for hire state • Liaise with customers to provide technical information and assistance • High attention to detail & be safety conscious • Prepared to work at heights • Assist in the service, maintenance and repair of swing stage electric winches This is a high volume, fast paced role. To be successful in this position you MUST meet the following criteria: • Required to undertake electrical testing of swing stage winches • Mechanical or Plant trade qualified • 240v test and tag certificate • EWP Workcover ticket (or willingness to obtain) • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multi task • Have high attention to detail and sound record keeping • Be customer focused and have the ability to work unsupervised • Highly efficient time management skills
